I cannot believe it but my little Beanie is two. She seems so much older in some ways but definitely has the temperment. Her birthday was a little hit and miss. She doesn't like large crowds and gets shy and clingy. We only had a few people over to the farm but it still seems too much. She relaxed after an hour or so and had fun with her presents. I made her a Toodles cake which turned out awesome.
We finished off our Christmas presents today. Jeff and I buillt the dollhouse for the girls. Even he was a little excited to play with it. I'm not sure where we'll put it yet but as soon as we can move our bed it will be great. I have visions of getting a second house someday but that will be in a few years.
School is out for the holidays. Today was a great first day off. Jeff took the kids outside to play while he did some tidying up in the yard. We managed to go skating on Saturday. Ainsley tried but isn't quite ready yet. I was very proud of Abby for giving it a shot. She can be so brave sometimes. I hope to go skating a few more times and get in some other fun activities before everyone goes back to school.
Abby had her dentist appointment this month and did excellent. No cavities!!! Her front tooth is discoloured and possibly damaged but that's what happens when you fall and smack your face twice in a week I guess.
I am looking forward to the new year. There are a few things I would like to work on personally. I need to get fit and healthy, and be a better parent. Do more activites with the kids like baking, outtings and crafts. My goal is to keep the house better too. I think I'll pick a room a day and whip it into shape. It will make the day to day maintenance easier. I would also like to work on breaking through my shell a bit more. Getting out and interacting with people.
