Time for an update

Time is sure zipping by. We are well into March already. Lots has been happening but nothing at the same time.

Kye turned seven. He had his first sleepover and has had a few more since. We decided to move his bedtime an hour later than his sisters. it's a blessing and curse. He's two years older and handles the later bedtime well. It gives him a sense of pride that he's bigger so he gets different things. Some nights I just want all the kids to go to bed at the same time a give me some peace. He generally amuses himself with his computer time or reading. There are times he wants to play and I just don't have anymore play in me. I try but there are nights I just.can't.do.it.

Jeff's classes are going well. The extended communting is really wearing on me this term. It's Wednesday that gets to me. It doesn't make sense for him to use the gas to come home just to drive back for one class on Thursday. I have a hard time picturing him in my head doing nothing that day. I know logically that Jeff's working on projects and homework but it still just gets to me. In my mind it's similar to a husband who works outside of the home and assumes his wife, a stay at home mother, relaxes her day away.

My mother and I have instigated Wednesday movie nights. It gives me something else to focus on for the day. I'm finding it's working for the most part.

The girls are doing great. They are planning their spring activities. Two want to play T-ball and one chooses soccer. They have moved out of their toddler beds and are temporaily sharing a double bed. They love it. It's a slumber party everynight. They have stopped running around their room at bed time to go visiting. It gives them more space to play and no under the beds that have to be dug out.

Miss Ainsley is talking, singing and dancing up a storm. She's smart as a whip that one. She has a new habit of asking to play with her but she doesn't know how to beyond that. It's cute and aggravating at the same time. You can't tell her that you'll play later because she'll just keep at you. She has seen the specialist for her wandering eyes. They are doing patch therapy to strengthen the left eye (it was the worst). I am noticing that it's staying in alignment more but not the right eye is wandering more. She's just too darned cute and makes me laugh everyday.

As for me. I've joined a scrapbooking group and am loving it. I'm getting lots of pages done. I finished up to Ainsley's 1st birthday so now I'm only one year behind. I'm going to take photos soon and post them.
